My secondary education experience began with a Bachelors in Entrepreneurial Management. The knowledge gained from this undergraduate certification led to living abroad. I spent my time oversees research writing, business planning and general consulting for companies in the UK.Eventually, the call to come home was made.
My father had founded his own helicopter repair and overhaul company in 1974 and it was time to come home and work for the family business as a temporary means to ensure he was able to find trusted individuals to take on his business. Although, he had asked me years prior if I wanted to take over, I lovingly declined and he was always supportive that his dreams and mine did not align, at least in the matters of business.
It was during this time that I also completed my Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies. This graduate degree afforded me the opportunity to delve deeper into accounting, economics and finance. I had an amicable departure from my father’s company just as COVID-19 shook the foundation of our planet.
The down-time forced upon us all during the early days of COVID-19 allowed me the time to brainstorm how I would be able to make a positive impact in the corporate sector. Big picture problem solving, researching and pattern hunting across disciplines was always something that I had enjoyed throughout my adult life.
The more complex the issues, the more I found they lent themselves to creative solutions and I made the time to complete a Business Consulting Diploma and a Harvard University Business Analytics certification to freshen up this skill set.
My personal passions and areas of self-study led to a more inspired, empowered and energetic version of myself that has fueled by ability to push my professional life forward in a way I would have previously thought possible. It has a positive ripple effect if you will, the more I listened to my own instincts and found ways to take care of myself the more inspired I became to help others do the same.

My name is Shane Kendrick, I am a Certified Professional Recovery Coach and Certified Interventionist Professional and the founder of Kendrick Recovery Solutions.
My company offers ON-SITE drug testing for individuals and ON-SITE drug testing as well as drug testing policy development for companies across sectors and industries. These services ensure compliance with the latest Federal and Provincial legislations, compliance with mandated court orders, and cross-industry standards and/or as part of a company’s health and safety program (individual, group and corporate rates available). Kendrick Recovery Solutions also offers recovery coaching, interventions, family support coaching in addition to multiple forms of supportive after care services for those who need guidance navigating through their struggles with the unmanageability of the consequences of substance misuse. Hello, I am Rhonda Sawchuk, a professional mental health coach with over 20 years of experience in the oil & gas industry and the founder of Endurosafety Ltd. Over the course of my experiences in the Oil & Gas sector I witnessed firsthand the detrimental side-effects of cross-industry stressors on the mental health of the corresponding workforce. My experience, passion, dedication & skill set align me with individuals looking to receive coaching on combating the negative implications of high-stress industry placements, including the specific threats to mental health of workers in remote locations.

David Lovejoy
David is a seasoned and dedicated professional with a diverse skill set and a proven record of success in CX strategy and product marketing. With a background in photography, sales, and end-to-end project management in East Asia and North America, David is especially gifted at collaborating with diverse stakeholders using empathy and creativity to generate unique insights and opportunities for growth. In addition to being well versed in design thinking, agile methodologies, and change management, he will complete an MBA in December of 2022.
Allan DeBono
Allan is a molecular biologist and consultant with expertise in the life sciences. He holds a Ph.D. from UBC and will have an MBA in December 2021. He consults in the technology and biotechnology spaces and uses interviewing and data to learn how to bring consumers and producers together. Allan is passionate about making businesses better and runs the Sauder Management Club to improve Vancouver area businesses while providing opportunities for students.

Crossing The Threshold is a team of addictions counselors and certified life coaches who are dedicated to seeing their clients recover from substance use disorders as well as many other mental health conditions.
